These Are Bex Daly's Best Fat Loss Tips

Josh:   Hi, this is Josh from the DVCC and I’m sat with Rebecca Daly, who’s been a client at the DVCC Bedford for a number of months now, and in that time Rebecca has managed to lose over 20lbs of fat, which is a lot.

So, I’m going to get Rebecca’s top 3 tips on how she’s managed to achieve such good results. So Bex, what would you say your first tip for losing body fat would be?

Bex:    Willpower, definitely. I think that’s something I was lacking before, when I’ve tried diets, and this time I’ve managed to stick to it, with the right help.

Josh:   Ok, and what kind of help have you received to enable you to stick with it, whereas you haven’t before in the past?

Bex:   I think this time I’ve had the nutrition advice, so I have been able to see what I’ve been able to eat – what’s good for me and what’s not good for me – things like that. Also obviously the exercise, being pushed to do more.

Josh:   Ok, so one thing that I know has helped is you’ve been very consistent in having regular progress trackers, so you’d say doing that would be one of the things that has enabled you to have that success because it keeps you on track?

Bex:   Definitely, yes; I do actually look forward to my progress trackers because it keeps me to the point where, if I have *lost, then it gives me more willpower.

Josh:   And what would you say your second tip for losing body fat is then?

Bex:   Probably motivation; having everybody around me to help me, and the compliments when people actually notice that I have *lost the weight.

And it’s not just here at the DVCC, but when family and friends notice those things as well, it spurs me on to carry on.

Josh:   Good. And your final tip for me please?

Bex:   Just making better choices; eating right; rather than going for a cake I now go for a handful of nuts, or some boiled eggs as a snack rather than a packet of crisps.

Josh: That’s awesome! So what kind of situations come up during your week where you have to make those better choices?

Bex:   Usually because I’ve got two kids, I can’t put them on a diet with me really; so I allow them the potato or packet of crisps; and when they’re sitting next to me eating crisps it’s quite hard to actually stop myself; I have to leave the room sometimes, otherwise I will get tempted.

Josh:   Ok, that’s awesome. So, hopefully everyone listening has learnt a few things that could help them!
