How Often Should You Exercise When You Have Just Started

Exercise

How-often

You have just decided its time to get fit and lose weight.

But how often should you exercise?

The more you exercise the more sore you will be right? Wrong!

It is an often misconstrued opinion that the more you exercise the more sore you will be.

This can be frightening for someone just starting out on their weight loss journey and its actually the opposite that’s correct.

Watch this short video where we explain how often you should exercise when you just start.

Transcript:

Hi, this is Mark from the DoubleVision Conditioning Centre, a place to be to lose fat and increase your muscle tone.

Now, today, I’m going to dispel a common myth. So we have done it.

We will start with the new exercise routine or change some things slightly and we’ve come very, very sore for the next two or one token of four or five days.

Now, a lot of people think that DOM is what it’s called, it’s delayed onset muscle soreness.

They believe that they should have to train less.

So you might be new, you’ve got very sore and you think actually I should leave it for a couple of weeks or week even and then train again.

But it’s actually being found that as long as you’re doing the right exercise, you can come back in, say, to the DoubleVision Conditioning Centre and do another session.

The more frequently you can train, the less sore you’ll be. So it’s kind of compare you to a lot of people.

But if you are sore, if you can get in for a session, then you’re much better to do so.

And actually more frequently you exercise, the less sore you’ll be.

So if you were to train once a week, you’re much more likely to be sore than if you train, say, four or five times a week.

So I hope you found this useful. Let me know what you think, how long has your DOM has ever lasted and let me know.

I’d appreciate your comments. Thanks.
