Don't worry, this is not a game of chess with food. Its a simple tip which given a couple of weeks will become a natural habit!

Do you think about what you are going to eat first from you plate? I never used to, until I found out about an eating order that provides a healthier release of sugar into the blood. 

Choosing which macronutrients you eat first can have a big impact on weight loss. The majority of people would probably start off with any carbohydrates on their plate, followed by the protein, followed by vegetables/salad or anything that's green!  

Macronutrients are what the body uses as energy and are catagorised as protien, fats and carbohydrates. Different types of foods hold different amounts of macronutrients.

Just making a slight alteration to the order you eat your food will make a difference to the amount of body fat you are storing.

Natural Fats and Protein First

Natural fats such as: fat from meats, olive oil, grass fed butter, avocado, nuts and seeds and proteins such as: Chicken, grass fed beef, eggs, fish and lamb take longer to digest than carbohydrates do. 

Who Leaves A Steak Unfinished On Their Plate Anyway?

The key is starting with the good stuff!

By eating your steak before you eat your sweet potato chips, you will actually slow the process of sugar (provided by the sweet potato) entering the blood stream. This allows for a more stable blood sugar level and as a direct result, less chance of storing body fat!
