Hi! This is Mark from the DoubleVision Conditioning Centre. In today’s tip, I’m going to give you one of the main reasons people stop or slow down in their progress. This is because they are in their “gap.”

The “Gap”

Now, the gap is basically where you’re comparing yourself and what you’ve achieved against your ideal. So as opposed to comparing yourself from where you’ve come, you compare yourself to where you want to be. That is never going to leave you in a happy place because you might have lost 10 pounds, but your ultimate goal is to lose three stone. If you’re going to keep comparing yourself against that ultimate goal, you’re not going to be happy. Whereas what you should do is compare yourself to the past.

Comparing Yourself to the Past

So you compare yourself to what you were like before you’ve lost that 10 pounds. It will rejuvenate you. It will make you a lot happier because you’re realizing what you’ve achieved, and it will also help you get to that three stone quicker because you’ll be conscious and mindful of what you’ve done to achieve that 10 pounds fat loss or weight loss, and also, you will be in a much more positive mindset.

Bridging the Gap

So an actual step for you today to either break through this barrier or this slight plateau that you might have is to look at where you were perhaps a month ago, six weeks ago, when you first started your transformation journey and compare yourself to that, and I’m sure you’ll have made a lot more progress than you perhaps are giving yourself credit.
