What it's REALLY like inside the DVCC

It can be hard to know what it’s REALLY like inside a community. You pore over reviews you can find online, ask a friend if they’ve heard of it or maybe take a look on social media to see what you can decipher, but it only gives a small peak into the wider world of what happens. A time may even spring to mind when you thought “if only I’d known what it was like here, I’d have comer sooner!”, or something to that effect?

At the DVCC we are focused on putting our best, and truest foot forward. Our community integral to the feel of the DVCC and we want to sharing that with you. Too often we hear long-time clients wish they’d taken the leap earlier to join us. Yes, we create a great environment for you but this is always underpinned with the highest level of personal training and focus towards your personal health and fitness. This combination leaves you feeling accomplished, revitalised and proud when walking out our door.

So in the interest of sharing what our MEMBERS think of us, this was a comment recently left in one of our private Facebook Groups – you gain access to your clubs groups to interact with others in your community outside the gym in a fun, informal setting. Take the few minutes to read this if you’re curious what we do for our clients.

 

“So, I retired a couple of years ago, was looking forward to it very much. I realised I missed the banter and purpose in my daily life. I saw the DVCC promotion for a six week trial. I was / am overweight with osteoarthritis in most joints, and a history of back problems. Nevertheless, I decided to give this a go. THE BEST THING I COULD HAVE DONE.

Yes, I was nervous, and very apprehensive but there was no need. I started my six week trial, and never looked back! Everybody at DVCC is just wonderful, so friendly and welcoming. The instructors are so encouraging and respectful of my physical weaknesses. After my trial, I decided I would join the DVCC. Then I had quite a serious back issue, was off for nearly 2 months having MRI ‘s, Xrays etc.. DVCC were so patient and kept in continuous contact throughout my ordeal.

TIME TO RETURN, I was scared, I make no secret of it. Again, there was no need, they took me under their wing and gave me exercises to strengthen the muscles in my back before I got back in to a normal routine. I’ve been back in Team Training for about 8 weeks now. I attend 3 or 4 sessions a week and am managing to do all that is required with some adjustments for physical weaknesses.

I am 68 years old and am having a great life thanks in part to DVCC. So, if you’ve read my story and it’s given you food for thought (believe me, if I can do it, anyone can do it) then give it a go! What have you got to loose, except, maybe, a better life!".
