What can you achieve in 30 days?

How do you view your own time? For most people, 30 days pass in the blink of an eye, without anything memorable particularly happening or any exceptional outcome.

So, what do you normally do with this small chunk of the calendar year? Work. Eat. Sleep. Look after the kids. Maybe socialise a little, celebrate a birthday, over-eat and put your plan of losing weight or toning up on the back burner until next month?

Thirty days out of your year can be nothing much at all or everything you want (and more). It all depends on how you use them. Only you can create a change in your life and decide when enough is enough. If you want to stop aching when you wake up in the morning, you’re dying for your jeans to fit, or are simply tired of not feeling your best, then make your next 30 days count!

Take action, take control of your life and get the results you think are unobtainable – with a little help from The DVCC.

Instead of focusing on the bigger goals, begin to manage your smaller ones!

Let’s be real, you aren’t going to shed 3 stone in a month, or become a world class weight lifter. Those things take time and it is important to remember that when it comes to your fitness and health, it is a marathon and not a sprint.

Those big goals might seem incredibly far away, but here are a few things which CAN be achieved in 30 days and make a big difference!

Introducing exercise into your weekly routine.

A lot of people often find it hard to implement exercise into their weeks, whether it is balancing work, the kids, family, or just general living, sometimes fitness simply isn’t at the top of your priority list. To get started, try reserving just 1 hour of exercise twice per week to spend on YOURSELF. No one else. Just you.

During that time, turn off the phone, switch off from the outside world and just focus on you. By making time for yourself and implementing resistance based exercise into your routine, you’ll be making the first step to a sustainable fitness plan!

Focusing on your nutrition.

We do NOT mean starving yourself or trying some kind of extreme dieting fad here. Instead, we’re talking about the simple nutritional habits that are going to change your life. For example, are you drinking between 2-3 litres of water per day? If not, that’s your task for the week, set yourself the challenge to reach that number every day and see how you feel. The following week, try introducing a beneficial fat into your breakfasts a few times a week (eggs, salmon etc.) and so on. Eventually, by making these small habits into weekly routines, they add up into big results!

“Over the years, all the exercises I’ve done and all the classes I’ve done and never achieved anything, I’ve actually achieved that in weeks by coming to The DVCC.” - Sonya Blake.

“I’ve been at the DVCC for 3 months and I have dropped 2 dress sizes, and I am back to my old clothes from my early twenties, which is amazing. I’m just literally a happier person because I’m happy with my own body, my weight and how I look, and obviously it just puts a smile on my face.” - Anna W.
