If so, here are the top 3 things that you can start doing RIGHT NOW to make 2019 your best year ever!

1: SET HABITS, NOT GOALS

We've all set ourselves some New Years Resolutions that may seem impossible at some point. Perhaps you want to lose 30lbs, run a marathon, or simply get out of pain? Whatever it may be, I bet you have focused too much on the goal not on the journey in the past.

It is just as important to focus on the HABITS which are going to help your reach your goal.

Let's say you want to lose a large amount of weight, instead of focusing on the number on the scales, set yourself small daily habits that you can achieve every day.

For example, win the day by drinking a certain amount of water and eating a high protein, healthy fat breakfast. Then once you've integrated those habits into your life, set yourself the next habit to focus on, whilst maintaining the one you've started!

 

2: RESISTANCE TRAINING

Do you really want to get yourself in shape? If so resistance training HAS to become something you do each week. 

Resistance training is one of the only forms of exercise that BOTH makes you stronger and stops you losing muscle.


By putting your body under progressive resistance, you will keep your body adapting, getting you closer to your goals!

 

 

 

3: TRACK YOUR PROGRESS

It's important to know if all of the habits that we outlined in step #1 are actually taking you closer to your goals!

That being said, tracking shouldn't be a daily process, just keeping an eye on various measurements once a week or once a month is more than enough.

As long as you're keeping track of your progress in some way, you are on the right track!

Make sure not to become too reliant on just one measurement (i.e scale weight)... Keep an eye on things such as your strength levels, body fat percentage etc, you will soon see that fitness is not a linear process and things change all the time!

So there you have it, by following those 3 simple tips, you will be well on your way to staying on top of your 2019 goals and make sure that this year WILL be your most successful year EVER!
