Stay Hydrated To Lose Body Fat Faster

When it is as hot as it has been recently, you will need to keep your water intake that little bit higher otherwise you will dehydrate more quickly.

To combat dehydration, try to be selective in what you drink.

Alcohol is something you want to completely avoid in order to stay as hydrated as possible.

Alcohol will cause an insulin spike and slow your metabolism down.

Your body will only metabolise alcohol; until that has been completely processed, nothing else will be metabolised.

When you are adequately hydrated, your body will be more likely to utilise fat as energy as opposed to sugar.

Adding lime and lemon to your water will alkalise your body and give more flavour. 

Drinking green tea is a great choice and you can also make your own iced green tea. 

A lot of people confuse the feeling of being thirsty for being hungry, and this can cause a them to eat too many calories.

drinking_waterA good tip to make sure that you are hungry and not dehydrated is to drink a glass of water and wait for 20 minutes.

If you are still feeling hungry after 20 minutes you can be sure that you are actually hungry and not just dehydrated.

Men should aim to consume 3 litres of water a day and women should aim to drink 2 litres of water every day.

Be aware that you may need to go to the toilet more initially, until your body adapts to the amount of water that you are drinking.

Try to drink water consistently throughout the day rather than drinking 2 or 3 litres in one go. Your body needs a constant supply of water to stay adequately hydrated.
