Is Online Training The Future Of Fitness?

In an ever faster, ever connected and ever changing world, we have all seen amazing leaps in the rise of the likes of video communication softwares such as Zoom, Google Hangouts, Microsoft Rooms and many more. Suddenly these technologies have integrated into all aspects of our life, socialising, work and even...fitness?! 

With most of us having either worked from home or used these methods as our sole communication over the past few months, where does it leave us now?

 And what does it mean for the future of gyms?

Fitness is always changing and digital fitness trends have certainly been on the ‘up’ over the past decade. Like likes of MyZone, Peloton, Fitbit and countless other fitness gadgets are proof of that!

But would it be possible for fitness training to ever go ‘fully online’ so to speak?



Why Online?

Firstly, we don't mean that gyms will be closing anytime in the forseeable future, for so many of us, the gym is a key place of community, escape from daily life and a crucial part of our weekly routines. Those kinds of habits are not only healthy, but a crucial part of having a sustainable, habits based fitness schedule!


But what about when we're perhaps away on holiday? Or get stuck at work? or waylaid by other things and don’t have time to make it to the gym?

Just because we aren't training, doesn't mean we don't want to be! So wouldn’t it be super convenient to know that you can still train, no matter where you are?!

Well at DVCC, we have been toying with this idea for a while and even since gyms have reopened, many of our clients have been continuing to enjoy our daily online small group training sessions. All sessions are booked in the exact same way as they are used to and all links, passwords are sent directly to them...It really is that easy!



So much so, that they’re not going anywhere anytime soon, and we will be able to continue to help our clients, even when they are on the other side of the planet!

 Each session can still be run in the exact same way as a usual training sessions, with added coaching points, adaptions and even that great community feel as you laugh and work with others in your sessions!
