How to create a regular fitness routine that WORKS FOR YOU!

During the new year, we're all prone to going a little bit overboard when it comes to exercise... Perhaps your resolution is to lose a certain amount of weight or to get started with your exercise journey.

If you find yourself feeling a little overwhelmed, here are a few quick and easy tips to help you create a fitness routine that works for YOU!

Start Small!
Remember that you don't need to be doing everything at once! If you're feeling like you need to book 5 sessions a week, cut out all carbs and everything in between... You DON'T have to!

Instead, try to create a more sustainable approach. By allowing fitness to slowly become a part of your daily routine, you are far more likely to succeed and achieve your goals in the long run.

Let's be honest, for most of us, fitness is and should be about 3rd or 4th in our priority list. We have to put things like our family, friends, work all first, and then work our fitness around them! By doing just 2 or 3 sessions a week, over the course of the year, those hours will add up and completely transform your body!

The people who create a more sustainable solution will always beat the ones who burn themselves out after a month or two. Think tortoise and the hare!

Patience
It also vital to remember that fitness is not a linear process. You will go through some rough patches where all things seem to come to a halt, then suddenly spring back into action. It's during these times where it's important to focus on what you HAVE achieved instead of what you are YET to achieve!

By just focusing on the daily habits that you can incorporate into your life, you'll find yourself looking back on 2019 having achieved the goals you set out to reach!
