How did DVCC start?

Fitness, Weight loss, Menopause

Mark: Hey, this is Mark and Stephen from the DVCC, and we wanna do a bit of a slightly different video this time, because we've been asked this question a fair bit, and it might be of interest to you. And that is, how did the DVCC start? Because a few people have heard that is was slightly a bit of a fortuitousness event, that allowed the DVCC to start, and therefore start helping our clients.

Stephen: Well, Mark and I had always known that we wanted to open our own personal training gym. We'd been looking around, and we had managed to find the location currently, where Bedford is at the moment. But, unfortunately, we didn't have a way of funding the ability to be able to rent it, essentially. Now, I'd had a car that I loved dearly. I--

Mark: Hairdresser's car.

Stephen: Hairdresser's car at the time. Yeah, now, probably looking back it was, but at the time it was the right car. But I really loved the car, but what happened was, I was driving along, and very luckily, or unfortunately, or fortunately, I got driven into. So completely taken from the side, and the car was completely written off. It didn't look the same car anymore. I couldn't drive it, it was completely broken. So, what happened was, obviously the insurance paid out, and we were able to use that money from the car to be able to open the, our first personal training gym.

Mark:  The only caveat to that, was in the top two years, having to share a car, considering we didn't live together. That's another side story. We haven't lived together since we were 19, or so. Thinking identical twins that live together. So we had to drive around in the same car for two years, but that was the fortuitous beginnings of the DVCC. If Stephen's hairdresser car hadn't been written off, then potentially, the DVCC wouldn't have started so early. So, hope you found that interesting. Let us know in the comments, if you even knew that story. This is Mark and Steve, from the DVCC.

Do you feel intimidated by normal gyms?

The big box impersonal gyms leave you feeling awkward, and lacking motivation to lose weight and get fit.

The Training Gyms is for men and women who want to lose weight, get fit but don't want to do it in a normal big box gym.

We know it's important. We just don't know where to start.
