Today we have a question from Lee.

Lee asks, “How often should I eat for fat loss?”

That’s a great question Lee, thank you very much for asking.

Ideally, you actually want to eat quite often for the best fat loss results.

A large majority of people only eat three meals per day, with those meals being breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Having only three meals a day means that you have quite a long gap between each meal and during this time your metabolism will slow down substantially and fat loss will actually slow down also.

Eating smaller amounts at more regular intervals will help you to keep your metabolism stimulated and it will also help to reduce cravings for sugary foods if you stick to eating natural fats and protein.

Remember the meals don’t have to be huge; you could have say a handful of nuts or a small chicken breast as a mid morning snack, some boiled eggs and avocado is also a great choice.

Eating more regularly will supply your body with energy so you don’t experience mid morning or late afternoon energy dips, meaning that you perform better during training and at work.

Our question of the week to you is: “How many meals a day do you eat?”

This is Nathan, from the DVCC.

Have a healthy day.
