Carolyn shares her experience with the DVCC

My name is Carolyn and I am almost 57 years old. I joined about 10 months ago.

Well I had been going to the gym where I lived previously and had some results. But I thought I'd try the DVCC To see if I could get some more results. The DVCC is different because it's much smaller groups, they get to know you personally, you make friends here and you can really achieve much more than you ever think you could.

I never thought I'd be able to lift what I could at my age and it's just really good for bone density, overall energy levels, fitness levels obviously but more than that. For me, it's a relaxation as well.

I have quite a stressful job, so coming here is good for all those things. I'm much stronger, mentally and physically. As I said I never thought I'd be able to lift the weights that I do lift I think it's a two things, it's personal and physical.

My happiest moment I think was doing the pike in the TRX with a weight on my back doing a press up!

A gym can be a very daunting place, especially if you don't know what you're doing. Whereas here, you're lead through it every single time, you never feel like you're alone, you're never made to feel awkward doesn't matter what shape, size, age or anything that you are, it's just much more friendly and personal.
