Are You Lacking Energy? Exercise Helps..Chris Explains How DVCC Has Increased His Get Up & GO

Nathan: Hi, I’m Nathan from the DVCC and today I’m here with Chris. I’m just going to ask Chris a few questions hopefully to get an insight into how he’s got such great results, and speak about any difficulties that he might have had, as I’m sure there are literally thousands of people who will find this interview very, very interesting to listen to.

So Chris, if you could please introduce yourself, and how long have you been at the DVCC?

Chris: Hi Nathan, I’ve been here nearly 2 months now.

Nathan: Awesome. And what results have you achieved in that time Chris?

Chris: I’ve *lost 9lbs of fat and I’ve gained nearly 3lbs of muscle.

Nathan: Which is very good so very, very well done. Can you just speak to me a little bit about the struggles you might have had with weight loss before your experience at the DVCC?

Chris: It was all basically mind over matter. I could never be bothered and, quite frankly, after my first session here I realised that I’d never been trying that hard in fasting.

Nathan:   I can understand that. Have you *lost weight before and how did it go?

Chris: I’ve never really had to try before, to be honest, but now I’m 40, I tend to find that once the weight goes on it’s a bit more difficult to get off.

Nathan:   A bit more stubborn.

Chris: Yes.

Nathan:   And have you ever *lost weight using nutrition and exercise, or is it normally one or the other?

Chris: I’ve never really had to, to be honest. Being quite tall, and of a slender frame, it’s just come off normally. I noticed when my daughter was saying that I’m fat, and starts counting my chins, then I know it’s time to lose it.

Nathan:   Was that one of the reasons why you wanted to start losing weight?

Chris: Well I’d basically not done any exercise for about 4 years, and the last 6 months have been quite stressful for personal reasons, there was an illness in the family; and I reached the point where I thought it’s time for a new start, an investment in my health and my future wellbeing, so that’s why I came along.

Nathan:   Awesome. So you’d never done any type of diet before at all?

Chris: No; to be honest I’ve been really one of those annoying people who never had to watch what I ate. I could literally eat anything and as much as I wanted. Not any longer though, it’s changed now!

Nathan:   And what does your lifestyle look like now, compared to before the DVCC?

Chris: I’ve certainly got a lot more energy; I’m probably a lot more relaxed, I sleep better. I just feel an awful lot more positive.

Nathan:   Good, good. And how would you say the DVCC has helped you?

Chris: It has given me that focus and that purpose; and I’m a target driven person and it’s great to come and constantly trying to feel better and feel like I’m getting results.

Nathan:   You were saying you’re a target driven person, you actually use our heart rate system; how do you find that?

Chris: As if I needed any more pushing from the trainers, it’s just that little bit extra to get over the 90% and burn that bit more fat.

Nathan:   Awesome. And do you have any specific tips, with nutrition or exercise, that you could share with anyone who might be listening to this interview, who might be trying to lose fat currently?

Chris: You won’t miss the carbs, it’s not a problem.

Nathan:   So you’re saying cutting carbs out?

Chris: Cutting carbs is fine, and follow the recipes; there’s lots and lots of really good recipes you can cook from the support that’s on the website.

Nathan:   When you first joined the DVCC, were you concerned about restricting carbs, did you think that was going to be trouble?

Chris: Not really, I was more worried about my reduced caffeine intake, but it’s been fine because I’ve got so much more energy that I don’t need to drink as much coffee.

Nathan:   Natural energy?

Chris: Yes, absolutely.

Nathan:   And that’s probably helped to bring your stress levels down as well.

Chris: Yes, very much so.

Nathan:   Awesome. Have you got any final words, Chris?

Chris: I’d say go for it; I’d recommend it to anyone.
