You should be focusing on increasing your balance and coordination which are areas of your fitness that do not get much attention but are actually the most trainable as we mature. In other words you will make large improvements in a short period of time.
To do this you will need to focus on exercises that challenge your balance such as using one leg or putting yourself in other challenging positions.
Being able to pick things off the floor and deal with daily challenges of life are all made easier when you have either maintained the strength you had 20 years ago or developed that strength again.
Using resistance training in a structured manner will allow you to have confidence that you can tackle any of lifes challenges, including playing with your grandchildren!
If you would like to look 20 years younger you will need to focus on losing fat and building muscle tone. This can be done when you incorporate the right type of nutrition with the aforementioned resistance training.
